What is Futuro Pathways?

Futuro Pathways is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to empowering high school juniors and seniors as they explore and define their future career paths. This innovative 13-week program provides students with essential skills and insights often missing from traditional education, equipping them for success in both their professional and personal lives.

Phase 1: Self-Discovery & Career Planning
Students embark on a journey of self-exploration, identifying their interests, strengths, weaknesses, personality traits, and aptitudes. Using this foundation, they engage in vision boarding, goal setting, life planning, and career exploration, while also developing critical budgeting and financial literacy skills to support their future ambitions.

Phase 2: Workforce Readiness & Professional Development
In the second phase, students develop the soft skills necessary for entering the workforce, including:

• Crafting a compelling 60-second elevator pitch
• Resume writing and cover letter preparation
• Professional dress and workplace etiquette
• Interview techniques to make a lasting impression

Phase 3: Hands-On Career Exploration
Upon successfully completing the first two phases, students participate in immersive career "speed dates", gaining firsthand experience in 3 to 7 different careers, industries, or job roles they identified in Phase 1. Over one to two days per experience, students engage with professionals in their fields of interest, helping them make informed decisions about their future paths.

Program Completion & Future Support
The program concludes with a celebratory completion ceremony, where students receive:

• A certificate of completion
• Access to scholarships and valuable resources
• Summer Job and/or Internship opportunities

By the end of the program, students will have:
✅ A finalized vision board, goal plan, and five-year roadmap
✅ A polished resume and cover letter
✅ Real-world job experience to strengthen their career readiness

With these tools in hand, students gain the clarity, confidence, and practical skills needed to take their next steps toward a fulfilling career and a prosperous future.
